Parents Guide to the Early Years Foundation Stage

National Literacy Trust – Early Years ‘What does literacy actually involve?’ Literacy covers speaking and listening and reading and writing. Literacy in the early years is particularly important for children as it gives them a head start in learning these essential life skills that they will use on a daily basis, as well as preparing them for when they begin school.
