Poppy Art Work for WW1 Centenary Commemoration November 2018
Last week we started reading our new class book, The Diary of a Killer Cat. The children loved it, and we did lots of drama and role-play linked to the first two chapters.
Wales Parish Church Visit
Thank you to Wales Parish Church and Reverend Gary for inviting the Year 2 children to visit last week. We had a lovely time looking at all the poppy displays, artwork and memorials as well as learning a little bit more about the church.
Our class have been learning about classifying animals and identifying their natural habitats and natural environments. Then they used their art skills to design and make a habitat for a chosen animal, adapting it to best suit that particular type of animal.
We have have been putting our computer science skills to work by practising coding on the computers. Teaching children to use coding helps them to be articulate and think logically: when they start breaking down what’s happening, they can start predicting what’s going to happen next.
