Our topic this term is Towers, Tunnels and Turrets! We started off the term by visiting Conisbrough Castle. We explored the castle grounds and climbed up the steep staircases in the Keep.
We listened to Liam tell us all about the people that used to live in the castle and some of the children got to dress up.
Dave and Nick came from UpScience to help us make bridges. We had a go at using knex to build supporting structures to see which would hold the heavy box of chalk.
This term our topic has been ‘Bright Lights, Big City’. We have been learning about London and the UK. We started off the term with a our very own Royal Tea Party! Click here to see our photos. Tea party 2
We went on a trip to the CLC where we practised being newsreaders.
This half term we are learning about The Great Fire of London. On our first week back we visited the Fire Museum in Sheffield. Click here to see photos of our Fire Museum trip. Fire trip
In the last week of term, the children performed their Christmas Play ‘Baubles’ to 2 very big audiences! Their hard work paid off and the Parents loved it. A link for the video of the performance was sent out and is also available on the Class Dojo for any of those who did not receive this link.
Finally the children had a visit from Santa on the last day of term. The children we rewarded for all their hard work they had put into the previous term.
