At Kiveton Park Infant School we endeavour to offer an environment that is welcoming, a place where learning is at the centre of all we do and every child is nurtured to help them achieve their full potential.
The children in KS1 have been learning different painting techniques and skills this term. They have then applied them in a Georgia O’Keefe inspired painting. The Y2 has shown she can mix light and dark shades, and use them appropriately in her work. “I’m an artist!”, she said
The children in KS1 had a virtual author session this afternoon, listening to Katy Ashworth and Colleen Larmour read their book ‘This, That, What’. They then were taught how to draw a character from the book. Miss Newton was really pleased with these Y2s, and they all earned a superstar sticker
The nursery children have been making vegetable soup this week. Mrs Goucher happened to pop in just as they were serving it up, and there was a spare portion available for her to try! It was delicious; thank you nursery children for doing such a good job. We've definitely got some future chefs in there 😉
Reverend Gary would like to pass on a huge thanks to the children and families who kindly brought donations for the Archer Project. Your donations do make a difference and will be greatly received. Thank you for your continued support.
