Thank you to Wales Parish Church and Reverend Gary for inviting the Year 2 children to visit last week. We had a lovely time looking at all the poppy displays, artwork and memorials as well as learning a little bit more about the church.
Fun was had by all on our Rotherham United Primary Reading Stars Festival before half term break. Children were able to take part in a range of sporting and football activities and we even had a special visit from Miller Bear who came to read to the classes. Thank you to Rotherham United for organising and running the event.
The KPI display of poppies and artwork are now up and ready to view at Wales Parish Church. It definitely is something very special and the church looks amazing. Make sure you take time to visit and see all the community efforts in person, it is truly beautiful
Over the weekend of 10th-11th November 2018 there will be special services held at both Wales Methodist Chapel and Wales Parish Church along with the Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday 11th November.
The weekend will finish with a special lighting of the beacon service on Sunday 11th November that will be held simultaneously throughout the country. Please see the poster for more details.

KPI are supporting Children In Need as usual this year on Friday November 16th. Children and staff are invited to come to school dressed in something spotty, fancy dress or Pudsey related dress up items for a donation of £1 towards our fundraising efforts for this very worthy cause.
Our school will be supporting Anti-Bullying Week from 12-16th November. We will be holding an ‘Odd Socks Day’ on Tuesday 13th November. Everyone is invited to wear odd socks for the day. It’s an opportunity for children to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!
Everyone here at KPI have been busy preparing for the World War 1 centenary commemoration weekend. We were asked to help decorate Wales Parish Church with poppies and poppy themed artwork and we’ve definitely relished the task. The children in each key stage have really enjoyed producing their designs and have been very interested to learn about WW1 and Remembrance Day.
